Spaghetti Bridge
It was a short week last week because of Thanksgiving so we all presented our spaghetti bridges, most of us. The point was to see how much the bridge could hold. By the way, it had to be the lightest and strongest. I had a partner on this project, Diondre. We worked on this bridge the weekend before and it was good but we had one main problem. The spaghetti kept breaking so we used this super glue and that's what kept our bridge up for about 6 grams. It was fun and the business aspect kept me focused on it.

Week 10
This week we did a lot of white boards! We had an assessment on Friday and on Thursday, we got a review for the assessment. That helped me and hopefully the class out. I think we should continue with that. The white boards get kinda boring, but it helps us understand what other people think. One thing we had to do was draw examples of the most important things we learned in the section without using words and then share them with the class. Also we have a project to do. We have to build a spaghetti bridge. It is very difficult to do but I understand the whole concept of what we are trying to prove. It's like a business : ) overall the week went well and we should do more projects like these and do reviews for the assessments. It will help me and hopefully the rest of my classmates.

Week 9
This week was a short week. We had Tuesday off. We were going to have an assessment on Friday of last week but it got changed to Wednesday. We also did this experiment with springs. One person holds one end and the other holds the other end to see the force of the two people and the springs. What we did to find that out was we had the two people walk and try to keep the same amount of newtons. Once forward and then once backward. I'm not sure how we got the third measurement. Then, as usual, we put our information on a white board and discussed it in class. Also we looked over our assessments. Each group did a question on a white board and we had to explain how we got that answer. It helps to review the assessments so it can help you later on. I like that and we should do that after every time we have an assessment

Week 8
This week we took a look at unbalanced forces. We took 3 masses of the same weight and balanced them on a table. 2 masses were hanging off the edge of the table and when we let go of the third weight, we were asked, what direction will the string pull when we let go of the third weight. We also looked at center of mass. We did multiple experiments to do this. We took 4 people, sat them in chairs to see if they would balance. They laid on each others knees and we pulled away the chairs and all of them balanced. It was pretty cool. We also looked at when picking up a chair. We did it first without being against the wall. Then we tried it against the wall and it was much harder to pick up the chair. Another experiment we tried was moving our legs, when against the wall, we could not balance ourselves. Also we tried picking up a pencil and we could not do it while against the wall. All of these experiments had a purpose and that purpose is to see what effects the way we do things and why does our center of mass change
